Been to watch a few mates playing on track at 3 Sisters in Wigan. There is a classic race on there this weekend and some absolutely glorious machines.
The triumph Trident number 39 sounded fantastic & he could ride the wheels off the thing.
I was amazed to see some of the lean angles these ancient machines can obtain, big respect to the riders.

Now that is one hell of a geometry change!

Now that is one hell of a geometry change!

Not at all. The clip-ons usually mount above the yoke, race clip ons go below to lower the riding position. When you put them under the yoke you end up with quite a large chunk of fork sticking out the top. My CBR6 has the standard ones mounted under the yoke and lock stops added to stop the levers hitting the fairing.

Yes we had to mount Matt's back onto the top of the yolk because his bars kept hitting the fairing, or tank whatever we tried to do & Scrutineering wouldn't pass it for racing. We could always cut chunks out of the fairing, but I think he might kill me if I did that :smt067:smt067:smt067

Finally got thru my 130+ photos of yesterday & I think this has to be my Favourite. This will be adorning my desktop for a little while to come.
