YES. I am going. Have asked Mrs Dan to come along but she might be working. Can't wait! :D
I was a yes, but now I'm now a no. My spare time on weekends gets eaten up by looking for a new house, and any surplus time is taken up by saving up for a new house
Have a good time, y'all

So why do you ride slow normally then? ;)
You would need some directional help I think as well, which is the real reason :D

Meh. Can't make it as I will be brassic. Would've liked to go but money is too tight and I can't really justify the fuel expense at teh moment. Sigh, I hate the economy.

I have decided that the AR would be so much more boring if I didn't turn up. So, in that spirit I will be travelling down Friday night at about 7pm from my place (on teh A30). If anyone is going that time and seeing as you will most likley be going past my house, give me a shout. Failing that see you at about 9pm ish Friday. Yes, I do know where I'm going and don't need any fancy Satnav thingy-bob. :D So, those who don't want to see me drunk, naked and climbing trees should look away at about 21:10. I've not drank in ages so I will be an extra lightweight. :riding:
Cool nice one Dan, not sure what route were taking, i'm following DD :D

Why would you go back onto the A30 once you'd already got to the A303???? The A30 stops at the A303 Stu and branches off to the A303 or the A33. Do your homework man. I'm not following you there! Sheesh. It's M3 junct 8, A303 the A37. Check Google Maps.

Thanks T, but I won't get back from work until 6:30. It's okay, I'll probably meet up with Stu, although his directions are a bit naff. Whoever would've thought that I would know the way! And I do know exactly where the place is too. Been there before see. Very nice campsite.

Why?, because it's a much more interesting road :D
Yes I know the A30 stops for 8 miles at jnct 8 of the M3, but then it starts again and runs parrallel and to the south of the A303 (which looks as boring as motorway )
Googlemaps...er yeah isn't that my link :cyclopsani:

As far as I remember the A303 has lots of hills = wheelies? Okay, I'll let you off. From memory I think the A30 goes then through Salisbury and Andover, I don't remember it being fun though.

The bit from Sailsbury to Yeovil is a good fun. Mixture of tight twisties and flowing sweeping corners. One of my favourite pieces of road.

Guess what? I am now an unlikely. A little problem of gas and water bills. I thought she'd paid it, she thought I'd paid it. :smt075 I'm dumbfounded how much water rates and gas are. Fecking daylight robbery and they reckon the government will start putting tax on the gas bill!?! WTF!? Anyway, I digress......

It's the age old "Will he or won't he". I wish my life was simple!
The only gas you need is the kind you put in your bike & start collecting rainwater!
Priorities man!

PSM actually. Or is it PMT. Perhaps it's PMY. No, that sounds boring. It's probably PMT but I would like PMS instead. Until I get bored at least.

Just shut it you. I'm very disorganised mmkay!? :p
To all the massivists going on the AR ride-out who like a bacon butty.....
Cartgate services (Where the ride-out starts) has a cafe that does great bacon butties. (and probably a lentil wrap for those that way disposed) Always a long queue of caravan haulers outside so go inside with the truckers. Get served quicker then take your butty outside to point at bits of bling on bikes.
Lots of speed cameras betwix here and there so do your homework on the map before you leave or all get numberplates made up like Dans and go for it.
Wish I could join you as there are some great roads down there. Hope the weather holds out and you all get back in one piece and with that piece in the same shape it was when you left home.
Enjoy.......
