When you`ve spent the weekend riding and then jump in the car does anyone else do daft things??
Last night I........
a) Sat at the traffic lights in the car messing around with the gears and getting frustrated cos the green light wasn`t coming on on my dash to signify I was in neutral :(
b) Felt a fool cos I nodded at every bike coming towards me :(
c) Tried to filter in my car between 2 rows of traffic at the lights!
I hired a huge white van & filtered past all the stationary traffic to get to the front of the lights in London last year. Felt a bit stupid blocking all oncoming traffic when I realised I wasn't on the SV.
The car at the front let me in though. To be fair he didn't have much choice!

If I get a shot of her car, I end up "going for gaps" and scaring the ****e out of her.
Occasionaly I will also get a dig for "leaning into corners":)
Realise I am better controlling THE POWA! by hands and not feet! ;)
:)

Lol. All the time.
Probably not a bad thing the do, but its rear observation the bikers way instead of using the mirror.

Nod to bikes in the car all the time! Usually I also think of going for an overtake that would be easy on the bike and remember a Nissan X-Trail diesel does not have the poke! (Luckily always remember before committing to the overtake!)
Often nod by mistake, and generally do bike observations as well as using the mirrors.

Yup - I do shoulder checks all the time   not a bad thing I suppose - pity more drivers dont do them!
Did a fair bit of the NW2/3 route a couple of weeks ago in the car with wife...and kept feeling meself leaning over as I was entering some of the bends, thought the missus might not have picked up on it.....but she did

Yup, this is the only thing I get confused with. I often pull out into the overtaking lane on a motorway on a hill, floor it in my girlfriends Ka, and jsut sit there. Then I have to embarrassedly pull back in behind the car cos a queue has built up behind me :(

Once got a lift with my mate when I broke me wrist and couldn't ride, the bike I'd pi$$ed around on a bit before that was a very mental old exup...
M62, try to overtake a couple of artics, so I pulled out, floored it. Said to my mate "fkin hell is this engine healthy or what" ... "it's only a 1 liter corsa, change down!" ... Me: "I'm in 3rd!"
Moral of the story, don't buy a 1.0l corsa!
+1 for the shoulder check thing - I caught myself doing one driving the trolley in Morrisons the other week (although in my defence, I've had more things run into me there than on the bike and in the car combined)

You're supposed to shoulder check in cars anyway, so that's no bad thing
The principle still applies, you could get taken out by someone overtaking, etc.

I did 330 miles on the bike Friday and had to do 60 miles in the cage yesterday, was driven mad by traffic and not being able to "make progress" but felt a twit when I found myself nodding at bikers!!

I do that sometimes when I have to move the car to get the bike out.
You do get some seriously strange looks!
Guilty on the nodding to bikers front as well.
Mrs always notices and always says "Your not on that bloody bike now"
Shoulder checks as well, but I dont think I lean into corners..... or do I?
I dont drive but as a passenger I find myself getting a bit worried. My dads a very good driver, and I'm always thinking "He's going way too fast for this corner" and brace myself... flies round the corner and carries on as normal. I get annoyed at traffic lights in the car, all the people that don't pull off quickly, its frustrating!

Have done the hover on the other side of the road to get a better view before performing an overtake... but not having so much power in the car to nip past. doh!
And on another point of view, when I first started riding, got few hundred yards down the road and felt nakid as if something was missing... then realised it was because I didn't have a seat belt on. wtf.. anyone else had that weird feeling on a bike??
