Crusing along a nice quiet bit of national speed limit recently re-tarmac'd bit of a-road at about 70mph, a black bird swipes out of the hedge along side me then dashes across the front of me, clips the wing mirror and hits my right pectorial (well it's more of a man boob at the moment, but you get the idea)...

Bird shizzle all over the bike, my leathers & my helmet - I looked like I'd walked into staples and massacred the tip-ex and pva glue section with a shotgun. and not to mention the recently eaten greenfly stuck in and amongst the poo, a single feather on my inner thigh and a LOT of water (or bird p1ss) all over my right arm.

pain wise, probably the equivalent of somone taking a run up and punching you in the chest.

Anyone else had any animal collisions lately?

Not having a right good time of late are ya old chap. Glad to hear you're back up and running though.

Should be doing Squires on Wednesday if you're about?

Yeah I had similar shoulder/pheasant interference problem a while ago, retarded animals. Just clipped me though, I didn't get splurged! :-P

Almost carbon copy of yours Paul on Friday night but at about 30 mph, black bird swooped and clipped my helmet, then dropped and pinged off the left side of my chest, whilst dropping its guts all over my jacket, trousers & bike!

Not the easiest of stains to explain is white bird cack when stuck to the front of my otherwise black trousers!

slightly different but was out last night, had a run up to thirsk and back, my mate on his gixer had to swerve to avoid hitting a Fxxxxxxg great big crow, would have been nasty if he had hit the thing, it seemed to be a kamikaze crow, maybe they have closed the bird branch of the samaritans ? ps me and mate going to squires on wednesday night (from tingley but dont know time yet)

Had a bird clip my knee last year while I was borrowing a DL650 V-Strom.
I was find, however the bird caught the outside of my knee, and must've hit the pannier as when I got off later is was cover in the white 'cack' with a few feathers scattered on it for good luck! lol/

I'm just imagining a bird flying right alongside and the punching it in the beak... great!

So far i've had a duck stand in the middle of the lane, being a duck.

I've not had anything hit me since the deer a couple of years back, touch wood. That was bloody messy (in a literal as well as figurative sense) and resulted in the only 'proper' tank slapper I've had.
