View Full Version : The BBC Bomb
I can't belive what I'v e just seen on the BBC news.
They had an article showing *exactly* how to make a liquid bomb as used by terrorists! Even the ingredients and where to get them!
I'm gobsmacked! Surely that's against National Security?
Talk about making it easy! I bet it's available as a "podcast" on their web site too just in case you need to take the step by step to the bomb making site!
Jeesh!

That information has been available on the internet for YEARS!!!
The Beeb are safe on this one. They've only shown something that's readily available anyway.

Lol it's not hard to make explosives
Lol it's not hard to make explosives
It must be pretty difficult. A group of terrorists managed to prove not so long ago that they couldn't do it.

My digestive system is one of the most lethal bombs known to man. Well, known to my poor wife anyway.
Paaaaaaaaaaaaaarp.

No, they were just retarded.
I'm more of a fan of the old fertiliser and nitromethane route meself. I always say if it was good enough for Timothy McVeigh, it's good enough for me.

I would not rely on either the BBC or many of the Internet recipes being 100% accurate...or stable........
Many years back a mate obtained from the Internet a copy of "The Terrorists Handbook" (anyone else remember that? - quite famous / infamous in it's time)........had recipes for so many explosives.......including Nitroglycerine.
Even the Handbook recomended not to make the stuff as it was highly unstable, but came up with a line I still remember "But if you really have to, here's how".......Like anyone has to DIY Nitro!!
The advice was that if the Nitro starts smoking.......start running :)

Nitroglycerine is hardly the most stable of things when produced anywhere! Never mind in a bathtub of ice with ingredients of unknown purity...

I dunno much about making bangs - but I knew enuf that the stuff to learn on was not Nitro! (seen too many old Westerns!).
If the failed 21/7 bombers had just waited three more days, we'd all be calling them the 24/7 bombers. This would imply that they blow things up all day, every day and despite their actual lack of success make them at least sound like they were good at bombing.

To be fair if you're such a spacker that you're going to blow yourself up for some cause there's no chance you understand then I don't give them very good odds on being able to perform some fairly sensetive chemistry....

Yup. The war on terror is a sham, if it was a real war, the ragheads have already won it by causing a change for the worse in our way of life.

To be honest I would be quite interested in his views on Fiscal Policy............:)
And if he could make the trains run on time I would probably be ok with a few beheadings
Napalm is easy, fairy liquid and petrol mixed together, hours of fun!! Simple but so effective if it was to be set off in a confined space.

Why? Needs some sort of charge to distribute it, otherwise it's just a petrol bomb.
Then again, if atomised it would probably be far scarier than a high explosive in a confined space.

Yes its easy to find recipes. But reprinting them on a reputable news site is pretty retarded. For instance, if they printed an easy way to commit fraud and not get cuaght, how many people would try that on that wouldn't have otherwise thought about it!?
