Hi, Everyone

I am a new rider, and my first bike is an 2001 SV650.

It's pretty comfortable, but I think my legs are a bit too long for it. I can't comfortably use the rear brake unless I slide right back on the seat, which never lasts more than a few seconds as I soon slip back.

I wonder if there's anyway I can replace/modify the seat so I can get another inch or so in height?

I would also like to adjust the brake pedal down a bit, but there seems to be no room left on the pushrod for downward movement.

Any advice is very welcome.

Cheers

i dont think you can get a higher seat only lower ones so i dont think you could do much with the seat what you could maby do is change the dog bones so that lifts the bike up a bit?

Dogbones won't change the riding position really.

Try get some of the footrest raising plates meant for racing to give more ground clearance. If you fit these upside down you get more legroom.

Not sure whether you have the faired or unfaired version, but the unfaired footrests are lower, so by changing the plates over you can lower the pegs. Not by much but then it doesn't take a lot to make a big difference.

You'll need adjustable rear sets for this issue or adjuster plates for the OEM ones.

I know you can get some from Demon Tweeks but there a bit pricey, there are plenty others out there to but I do not know the suppliers or product manufacturers name. Sorry, just google it and see what you find.
