I know people own a bike for a variety of reasons but I can't believe Matlock is too far from anywhere in Leics.

Tis a shame to me, but your choice wyntrblue.

I was only up in matlock last week from Somerset, albeit I was staying at me dads in notts LOL. Your missing out on some great roads up that way well worth a visit via gella is a favourite of ours then onto some more great roads over the top.

i live near hinckley and matlock is just to far for me to travel. there may be great roads and what not but to be honest any road can be a good road if you enjoy riding it

Blimey thats under 50miles, my girlfriend does that everyday for work.

You cant get out much on the bike if your not even willing to do that little trek, its worth it :D

Makes sense now knowing the situation, when I used mine all week for work, there no urge to get out on it at the weekend aswell

Always feel the urge to get out on the bike. Regardless of how many miles I did over the week. Nice, warm, sunny day .... no better pace to be than on a bike IMO.
