The guy who was my best man all those years ago has just phoned me.

Him - "What are you doing Saturday"
Me - "Nothing planned"
Him - "How do you fancy watching some boxing"

Well at that point I thought it was going to be the usual sportsman dinner with amateur boxing to follow.

Turns out he has a pair of tickets for the Hatton fight on saturday including transport to/from Manchester etc. Now wasn't he a nice man to think of me when his dad pulled out tonight.

Cost to me a few pints

Its more likely that one of his good mates couldn't make it and he didn't want to waste the ticket, you were a fair ways down the list, but the only one that was free on the night!! :D

Thanks blue, you sure know how to make someone feel worthless.

Have you thought of a career in Guantanamo Bay. I am sure the head shrinks they use out there could benefit from your expertise

Well old TW is a grumpy opinionated sod,but I happen to know he is also a generous hearted chap too.Old mates will know that, and what goes around comes around.;)
Enjoy the fight.
(The boxing that is:))

Result!

Been to a few amateur boxing and UFC fights but never a professional night and I'm quite jealous.

Have a good 'un.
