They said they were going to mount it on the Mantle above the fire place. Personally my point of view is if they haven't yet done it, then we'll find some place else for it to go.

If it's not done when I go there on Saturday shall I ask for it back then Si?

I think so. It's quite obvious they have no intention of doing it if it hasn't been done by now. They could just have easily have said no.

They could have just forgotten about it? Maybe a member of staff put it away somewhere out of sight?

Hmm, even so, they should have made the effort to remember. While it might not be important to them it sure as hell means something to all of us. But, I guess we should give them the benefit of the doubt for now.

I haven't been for weeks but it wasn't done when I was last there. I think they won't have done anything maliciously, but most likely have forgotten. Maybe bring a screw drver and some screws yourself?

If its going into brick/concrete then I suppose a place like foxes may not have the right drill bits/rawl plugs etc to do the job immediately.

What a nice thing for you guys to do, missed this thread

Sounds like a plan. Well thought of. So let us know when you have done it

Yeah alright, next time I have some spare time I will head down there and screw it on myself. To whoever said rawl plugs etc, it is going on a wooden beam above a fireplace so all you need is 4 self-tapping screws and a screwdriver.

Self tapping screws are for metal. What you need are wood screws, seeing as it is wood you will be screwing into.

Stoopid scientist type person you

Well I meant a wood screw! Aren't they self-tapping?? I.e. pointy and make their own holes?! Pedant! :-P
