Is Hammerite Smooth White a matt-ish white or very gloss? Anyone know.

Oh, and will it pretty much go onto anything. plastics etc?

The smooth is fairly gloss-ish
As for using it on plastics not sure, it says on the tin it's metal paint and is solvent based, so it may melt the palstic?

Bum.

I need something petrol resistant and normal Halfords isnt (as I know from before with the black).

I have Sperex matt black at the mo, but they dont do white. Actually the new Simoniz branded Sperex isnt as good, the matt black isnt v matt, as an aside. :(

TBH i'm not that keen on Hammerite anyway, it just doesn't seem to be as good as it used to be.

Is it possible to get the part painted up properly with decent matt lacquer?

I gave up on the matt lacquer route, this is a home job. I may get them done properly to resotr the panels to there former glory, but in a way little point until I sell it really, I will only stuff it in a bush.
