I want to take out one of their monthly policies for the cagiva planet 125, me as main rider, MissY_C named rider.

I want 3rd party other vehicle cover with it, carole nash won't give it me and cover my modifications to the SV because I'm under 25.

Is there ANY way to contact these people? There seems to be a "technical" helpline but nothing else?

Try emailing them (enquiries@ebikeinsurance.co.uk) to explain. No call centres means cheap, but no call centre!

I'm with e-bike, they seem ok up to now.

Never know how good an insurance co is until you need to make a claim however!

E-Bike will not give 3rd party cover for other bikes

use their FAQ section

Q: Can I ride other bikes? Am I covered third party to ride any bike? Can I ride a friend’s bike? Can I get temporary cover on someone else’s bike?
A: No.

We do not provide a 'Riding Other Bikes' extension on the policy.

The 'Riding of any bike not belonging to the policyholder' cover was originally designed for emergency use only and misuse has resulted in an increase in claims due to riders having a go on an unfamiliar bike and then crashing it (eg, someone who has just passed their test riding their mate's R1).

This in turn would have a knock on effect to all policy holders and increase insurance premiums - which is something we all want to avoid!

At eBike, we are trying to minimise costs to provide realistic premiums - if we introduce this cover across the board, premiums will go up for everyone.

We are however looking to introduce a scheme whereby people who want this cover can pay an extra premium to have it - this is still some way off though.

I was with e-bike and had a claim.

Settled within a week of the assessor seeing the bike. I was so shocked at the settlement offer, more than fair. The whole experience of how simple the claim procedure was. How quickly they dealt with it and how quick they were to get a cheque to me leaves me with nothing but praise.

I've just been with express bike insurance (insured by red star equity) for the past year fully comp and 3rd party on other bikes. Just switched to motorcycle direct (also with red start equity) because they beat express bike insurance by hundred quid. both provide 3rd party only on other bikes and I'd assume atleast one would be able to sort out a monthly policy?
