View Full Version : Down Memory Lane.
Today I think I finally put to rest, a recurring nightmare I've had since my off.
I conquered that darn road that was my downfall on the Hardy Bikers Ride !!!:riding::smt041

What a beautifully desolate place,

Save for the odd woolly

Where better to sit and reflect than at this vantage point. For some bizarre reason I was humming the tune to 'Onwards Christian Soldiers.....' as I was riding along :confused:

Quick bite at Slaidburn, then on to a very deserted Devil's Bridge

That's the road from Clapham railway station, Keasdon road over to Stocks Reservoir. I love it. I generally do it t'other way round. carrot cake in Slaidburn, over keasdon to Clapham, the down to Devils or Hawes via Ingleton. not the boring settle route
Nice to see the photo of Petes Grandads Bench

Oh yes it does, that's why I moved back up here. Then again I was living in Telford town centre about as close as you could get to the Carrefour filling station

ooooo Mel do I spot a set of new leathers there? they certainly suit you. As for the wooly sheeps, i'm sure that new loud horn YC popped on your bike will scare em off....lol
Banishing demons is a good thing, I did one of those on the Ar last yr on the middleham road. However I still haven't been up to settle for a head to head with deer....lol
well done you....yay:-);-)
whose morgan is that?
The car belongs to the man behind the camera.

Lol. Me too.
That grit bin helped me identify the spot.:)
Not been to Shropshire, so may have to add it to my list of places to visit and make a comparison.

I felt bad blasting my horn at the sheep. It's soooooooo loud!!
I thought of you yesterday when I came face to face with a deer just past the reservoir on that route! I think I was more startled than the poor bambi.:p

They were out enjoying the day too. Lovely older couple. The wife had heels on so didn't feel she could get out of the car, so the old man and I climbed up onto the rock to enjoy the view better. :smt045
