View Full Version : Gel Seat
Bought one second hand for my curvey, but it dosen't appear to be any different to the standard one when using my calibrated butt. :D
Is there an easy way to tell a Gell Seat from a Standard one without taking it appart?
If it turns out to be a gel one and you don't like it, let us know...

The standard seat on a curvey is completely covered in vinyl type stuff and an oe gel seat is aprtly covered in material

The Suzuki gel seat has a different outer material and is not a one piece covering...

The one pictured above is off the Suzuki website but is identical to mine, It took a while for mine to bed in but it has been flawless ever since.

That is the OE gel seat, it's the same as mine.
I don't think there is much between the gel and standard seats comfort wise
leave your bike out in the rain uncovered and then once the rain as stopped go out and sit on the bike, if its a gel seal it will hold a fair bit of water and soak thru your trousers and undies in no time. or leave it wet and let it freeze, then sit on it and it steams for the next hour as your butt cheeks defrost it.
