does anyone have one of these that I can borrow (23-25 June) when my mechanic will be in the area. guy that was going to fit my chain let his friend borrow his riveter and he broke it so he cant do it. or if you want to come and fit it yourself I wont complain.

yeah, iv had my bike service, clutch and about to get annother service by him.

had my car looked at by him when it was missfiring,

dad got his bike's fork seals done by him and he made it pass its mot,

he's helped my bro inlaw with his car problems aswell.

he is like santa, but not at xmas time or fat, or a white beard!

Have just done my chain, took me FIVE hours !!!!!.
Bought a chain breaker/riveter,filed down a rivit and used the chain breaker
to push out the rivit...........snap and rivet not budged.:smt086
Started with hacksaw, broke the blade, used the broken chain breaker and persevered and manage it.
Put on new chain and riveted it .:D

Hint

Use a grinder to cut off old chain.

Once the new chain is on and the rivets start to mushroom uses two big hammers, one at the back for support(but keep it off the wheel) and one to hit to finnish the rivets off.
