Heya All

A friend of mine is looking at selling his 1998 R Plate Virgin Yamaha R1.

The details I have is as follows:

Goodridge hoses, Micron Exhaust, Mini Indicators, Showplate, Harris Swingarm. Its had a new gearbox not long ago. One new rear tyre and the front is in v-good condition. It's taxed until November and has 12 months MOT. Its done 20k miles.

The ONLY damage is on the right hand fairing on the bulge at the bottom. It is a scuff from having dropped it once.

Price - ?2750 ono.

It probably is, and i love it but the original R1 98-00 is my dream bike really.

As you know you buy bikes with your heart not your head. And for me opening the garage to an original R1 would have me going weak at the knees everytime i took it out :smt057

If you like R1's, you'll love my friends Yamaha.

This is a pic of him at Croft (I'm on the blade behind in black).

It is a 98 red & white R1. Ohlins forks & shock. Brembo radial brakes (fork bottoms made by harris - they are so sexy), White powder coated wheels, undertray, tail tidy, polished frame......list goes on and on.

He only took it on track once. he now has a 748r track bike and an original black / orange blade.

I'll see if he has a better pic of the bike.

Anyway....here's dreaming!
