Once again I am injured :help:

I have done my ligaments in my neck/sholder again, and cant ride the bike as a result = cant go on the france trip :smt013 I did it about aweek ago, but hoped it would have healed, it hasnt :(

I am not happy, in the last 12 months I have broken my right ankle, ripped my right quad (very painfull, not recomended), pulled the ligaments/tendons around my left knee, and now done my right sholder/neck again (old injury thats come back to bite)

should probably give up now while im only slighty behind

I just need to rant, thanks for listening

yeah, I have regular osteopath apointments for my back and neck, I have 3 displaced vertibra (sp?) in my spine which give me greif all the time and affect my neck. Ive got physio as well for my neck/sholder starting on monday.

ouch.
what have you been doing???

All of the injuries are from sport  that wussy game we call football, although I think playing rugby all my youth didnt do me any favours.

This particular incident is the worst though, because I just fell over and it resulted instant massive pain, its not even like I got injured playing football! I feel frail! lol

In your youth? I wouldn't have put you past 25. If that is past youth, I am ancient.

By youth I ment 6-20 youth rugby. I know im young in years at 23, but body feels older! lol

You feel frail - hey - at least you didn't slip on some ice, shatter your hip and end up having to have some granny's metal-wear replacement...

... isn't that right Northy? ;)

Damaged ligaments can take an age to heal properly - sometimes I think I was better off having totally shredded mine and getting a go-faster carbon fibre replacement.
It can feel like it's healed, but that's only because your body had replaced the damaged bit with Type III collagen - it's Ok, but much weaker and less stretchy that Type I (which is what tendons and ligaments are normally made of).
So whilst it can feel OK it's actually more prone to re-injury than before - it can take anywhere from 3-18 months (depending on damage) for the Type III to gradually be replaced by Type I and therefore be properly healed.

See - my Anatomy and Physiology module at Uni hasn't been wasted. ;)

damn, GWS soon mate. Here's me sitting here with a slightly ache knee and a shoulder that could freze at any moment (its a lottery, place your bets now!!!), but its nothing like what you got. I'll suck up my "aches" and not worry about them.

Again, GWS

Well, had the physio today and she basically said, 'your neck and spine are so mashed that there is little I can do for you.' Told me to do afew stretches, which I will do, and I have also booked into see my osteopath (you know things are bad when your osteopath knows who you are)

I havent been able to ride my bike in 2 weeks. Nor can I run, and I have pre season trails starting in 3 weeks :(

Come on body! Do me good!
