The train station/motorway, but only if you are heading OUT of the place.
Mathew street is pretty good lots of bars - i've not seen much trouble in Liverpool to be honest
There a couple of tall buildings.........to jump off :D
I havnt been for a couple of years to be fair, and there has been ALOT of developement since.

We went to Liverpool for a mates Anti-Stag (he decided not to bother with the actual wedding bit in the end!) do last summer - Matthew Street was a bit of a turd-pit, rough n ready.
Concert Square area was good though, and within walking distance of a decent strip club (X in the City I think it was).
You'll have a laugh - If you're looking to go to nightclubs though I'd do a bit of planning now before you get there, we struggled a bit to find one that let us in!!

Very true - it could well have been down to the fact that we were still seriously hungover from the night before and not quite back up to speed again yet!

Liverpool can be a really great night out..... if you don`t mind paying for your drinks do Albert Dock, Blue Bar, Pan American Bar and Cream.
Less expensive is Concert Square, Reflex is an 80`s bar which is really popular for stag do`s/hen nights. Matthew Street can get a bit too busy but wherever you end up have a great time

I live in Liverpool.
Expensive end of town is ALbert Dock. SLightly old end is Mathew Street, Concert Square is cheaper but full of idiots in my experience.
If you need somewhere to crash you can all stay at mine lol!

Damm he is in court today for trashing a taxi
Go to the brill pubs, like the Philharmonic, Ship and Mitre, Doctor Duncans and wotnot. It can be a really good night out. Loads of people here seem to be very against the place in general. Not particularly fair.
Ive had the odd night in liverpool, its a damn sight safer than warrington thats for sure, you,ll love it.
The place is great, no more dangerous than anywhere else.
Depending on how early you're starting and the type of stag night give Aintree a try too, a good evening betting on the racing then short train ride into center of town.
Also, a little classy perhaps for a stag night but we started at lunch time with a meal/beers at the new Panoramic Restaurant at the top of the new skyscraper, awesome views but a little pricey.

You'll love it here, mate....... not as bad as it was years ago!! There are a lot worse towns / city's about.
Albert Dock would be best for me to be honest. A lot more expensive - but worth every penny I reckon. A bit more classy if you know what I mean. The Pan American there is a great place for food.
However, If you are after a "typical" Stag Do maybe stay in Concert Square.
