I raced home from work to get my kit on and the bike out then looked at the map for 10 mins. I've only lived in york for a month and I didn't really know where to go so... pateley bridge it had to be (top riding routes map book high lighted a good stretch of road eah way :))

got to pateley bridge and had a late lunch as you can see below (minus chicken salad sandwich)...

first proper ride I've had in ages and I feel great for it now.

Great to get out isnt it? I went for my first "for the hell of it" ride of the year today, after my bike was serviced. Since I havn't been around brighton for a while, I went down to brighton marina (its got tunnels and high walls - the SV sounds great down there!), filled up with petrol then just bimbled up to the A27, went along towards Lewes and down the A26 then back home. The A26 from newhaven to the beddingham roundabout is one of my favorite stretches of road, it always feels good to revisit it :D
