Looks like you'll be having fun, was it pre-reg'd or just sitting at the back of a showroom?

Fantastic, liking it!
I see they've got a "proper" fuel gauge - on my CBR600F it's got a fuel gauge...FOR THE RESERVE ONLY! What is the point in that...not many people try and eek out the last little bits of the reserve, a proper gauge would have been way more useful.
Get the can changed ;)

Its pretty cool having it, but it goes down really quick :( lol

Defo, even kerry my girlfriend said it sounded like a wet fart and she prefered the sv :( BUT she gave me approval to spend on a can so bonus.....its finding one now though, there so many and no decent forum like this to provide any advice :(

Yeah be careful choosing one, I have seen on the CBR forum I'm on that some of the cans are wonky (deliberately!) when on the bike - because of where the pipework enters the underseat area (from the right of the bike) - looks quite bad when you see it!

I had one of these... Loved it! Miss it now :-(
I put a Yoshi GP Force can on it and it sounded lovely, went better too just with the simple can swap.. My pipes lined up perfectly :-)

I know - a top box - my shame.
I went to an RR from an SV.
Have fun finding where the power comes in - at first you'll think it comes on at 6k, then you'll get comfortable and notice that it really starts at 8k. But really, 10k + is where it's at. 8k is just the bimble point.
p.s. You'll want to change the screen, the stock one is too low.

Nice choice G :D I think we'll have to have an "RR" Owners section soon :D

It does seem quite low :???: I dont really like the look of double bubbles and similar screens, they alway seem too tall and ruin the lines of bikes.
I'll see how it goes and see how fed up of getting my head blown off I get lol.

No it was a pre registered bike so I got some good discount on it.
The 08 rr is quite different now in looks.

Ha ha, not as much of a fan of the new shape ones to be honest I've always thought they just look abit odd, they have lost weight by removing stuff that filled ugly holes:confused:, although the hanspree ones look very very nice :p.

What year is it? (model not reg)
What year is it? (model not reg)
Its an RR6 registered Feb 07.
The story on the bike is a customer paid a deposit on it and then never came back. They tried re-selling it summer 2007 but as the new models were out there wasnt much interest in it.
So it sat in the showroom through the summer and then the winter slow period and I spotted it in spring 2008 with some good reductions....and snapped it up

I'm currently debating whether or not I need carbon goodness under the rear :( My girlfriend doesnt like the sticker though  I think it would look pretty good, it would certainly sound better than stock lol

I'm looking at one of these :D

:D
The akropvics are very very nice........I have been trying to find a good forum for advice and the yoshi's seem to get very good reviews.
Are you getting one imported? Teh akropovics are like ?500+ in the uk....saying that the yoshi are ?450ish in most place unless you know somewhere cheap to get the akro's?
Damn you have got me thinking now :( you can get an akrapovic for £400 after a quick search, so there bound to be better deals about than that.
If you could let me know that would be good. Akrapovics look better quality

TBH, I hadn't started looking hard to get the right price.... but I'm going to now :D
You do know the one for your bike seems to look different to the one I linked yeah?

Looks as nice, although i did prefer the stainless or is it titanium bit on the other one you posted.

Should be titanium, I don't think they do any stainless cans (internals but not externals I think).
I would deffo get an Akra over the Yoshi, I don't like the Yoshi shape tbh. However under £400 would be a good price if looking for new! Akra cans don't seem to discount much anywhere, especially for that newer style ("hex" style with the shaped CF end cap).
Might be cheaper in the states.... :p

Demon tweeks are selling the full carbon Akra for my bike at £430 I think bloke on the phone said......so I must beable to get it cheaper than that.
After looking on the akra website at how well they fit compared to the Yoshis I think I'm completely sold so thanks Rigor.....I think kerry will like this one more as well lol there no funny red sticker on the side

Are demon tweeks notoriously expensive? (if so - I didn't realise)
Just didn't want to get your hopes up about the price - £430 is not a bad price as it is, I think around £350-375 would be a pretty good bargain.
If you're gonna go via demon tweeks though...go onto the CBR forums at www.cbr-forum.org.uk (http://www.cbr-forum.org.uk) and PM a guy called James who goes by the name 'maximumcahooner' - he works for Demon Tweeks and might be able to do you a deal. I was pointed to him yesterday actually, as I am after some replacement discs for the CBR - he got me a price of £83/disc for EBC discs (standard parts from David Silver Spares were £89/disc!). I was quite impressed, anyway!
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! I thought you were joining my club?!
That's it. I'm not talking to you anymore. Humph.

Hmm,thats right, mines about 1/2 inch over to one side(the can that is:))but still looks well and sounds even better.
It's a Honda
