wii consoles online

Ive just moved my router downstairs so my lappy has a stronger signal so while the router is not so far away from our wii console i decided to connect it wireless and update the console with a download.
question is, Ive used the wii news channel and the wii weather channel but what else can you use the wii wireless for? i cant seem to connect with others to play games? any ideas? and what else will it do?

All depends on what games you have and whether they support online play etc.

Nope. The principal behind the Wii is to get people playing together at home.

You can actually get bbc iplayer for the Wii! But I believe it has some limitations.

You MAY have to make sure certain ports are not blocked and that your MTU is set to the right amount to get online if it doesn`t work with online enabled games .

Mario Kart Wii r0x0r, especially when you play a full worldwide race with a few mates on the grid as well. Guitar Hero 3 can also, allegedly, be used for online stuff but I don't know anyone else who has it on the Wii so haven't tried.

And let us not forget the white elephant majesty that is the Everybody Votes Channel.

The Wii Shopping Channel. You have to buy 1000 credits (7 quid), then spend half of them on the Internet Channel. Use of the remaining 500 credits is left as an exercise for the reader.
