I used to put mine in 'ferry' mode when cleaning, servicing etc. Alarm doesn't go off and there's no 15 sec beep.

How do you get it into ferry mode?

according to my user guide ferry mode is achieved by securely grounding the yellow wire ??

When the alarm is on, press the the bigger oval button once. You should get one longer beep than the one you get when switching the alarm off.

ps although according to my user guide that just switches off the movement/nudge function, which may be ok for washing the bike but dont think you would be able to move the bike or work on it without setting off alarm.

You can move the bike as much as you want, but you cant turn on the ignition system, also you must be careful to avoid tripping the tamper switch (usually under the seat).
yeah press the bigger button when the alarm is on and it will make a different, but still annoying, beep. then its good to move about etc.

the problem is that quite often when you are working on the bike the rear seat needs to be off which triggers the tamper switch (as stated above) alarm unless its in service mode, then your back to that annoying beep .

Mine is the silent version of this. (By that I mean that it doesnt beep when you arm/disarm it.)
To get it into ferry mode:
Arm the bike: 2 Indicator Flashes
Press the other button within 15 Seconds: 3 Flashes
You can move the bike as you wish. Just dont turn the ignition on without disarming it - it set the alarm off.
At the risk of being semi ignorant (though I have read the instructions and got more confused than I was when I started...) how do you stop it self setting itself when the ignition is off, but you've not armed it fully - i.e the beeping that gets faster?
Very odd looks at petrol stations, etc :)
Failing that, how do you stop the beeping?!

Arm it then disarm it?! (Press button twice)
For mine its one press of the round button to arm the system (2 bleeps) then one press of the oval (1 bleep, lower tone) to disarm the movement detector. When ready to go one press of the round to disarm the rest.

With mine the motion/movement sensor does not activate under self arming conditions . If I leave the bike to self arm I can then still move the bike without any problems .If I arm the bike then it will beep at every encounter . However I frequently was and service the bike with the alarm active but under self armed status . With this it gives me the freedom to open up and move the bike without the annoying beep .
Oh by the way I removed the tamper/seat switch the day I got it fitted .

with the seat switch it should only trigger the alarm if the status cahnges ie you open or close the switch. so if you take the seat off then do your ferry bit you maybe able to leave the seat off and the alarm will only go off once you put the seat back on. (thts only if you dont diss arm it first) its only a pssibility as mine does it but its a lazer line.

yes that would work with datatool 3 scott and seems to be the best possible way round the annoying beeps from the service /valet mode.
