Well my last one had seen better days, the battery had swollen breaking the casing and I was in the market for a new one.
So on ebay found these Holox 54 GPS (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HOLOX-54-Channel-Bluetooth-GPS-Receiver-4TomTom-51-UK_W0QQitemZ110256466343QQihZ001QQcategoryZ139838Q QssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem)
I have been using it for a couple of weeks now, still on its first charge. The battery save mechanisms are very well thought of. If it looses its bluetooth connection it goes into a first stage shutdown whereby it no longer looks for a GPS, eventually it then shuts down the blue tooth as well. But a vibration sensor wakes it back up. So you no longer have to turn it back on.
It syncs very quickly as well.
The only down is that the charger comes with a mini usb connection hard wired to the adaptor and if you want to cigarette socket power it etc. you need to buy a £2 usb car power adaptor and a new usb lead
