Seeing as I'm going the weekend after next, I wouldn't mind the opportunity to learn it first :D

IMO it is the best for riding the ring on, and the bike response is one of the best.

I have TT and GT4 and Forza 2.

Let me know when you want to come over. I go on holiday on Saturday though.

Wow! Thanks all for the offers, Miss Woos as you're the closest :winner:

Although Dan all 3 is a tempting offer :-k knowing you're not going to be using them for the next 2 weeks and I do have to get your rucksack back to you. :D

Thanks trickywoos, but as a game it's a bit pants. I counted 0-100 times of about 12 secs & at least 7 or 8 secs to stop again, plus I was getting 10 min laps even though I must have crashed at least 20 times. I hope I can control a real bike better than I can control a computer game

I know I could never learn 13 miles like the back of my hand, but I think I've achieved what I wanted - a rough idea of what to expect.

Following on from mt GRiD comment about games being useless for learning tracks, please ignore my previous comment.

Stuck TOCA 3 on the PSP last night, fired up Brands Indy and yes it was pretty much as I remembered it.

Only thing that is missing is the feeling of the forces on you - ie the full compression @ the bottom of Paddock Hill.

So I was wrong.....

To be honest I prefered playing GT4 as a car, that way you can concetrate on not falling off as much and learn the track. Forza 2 on Xb360 has a much more realistic version of the track. Do 100 laps in the game and trust me, you remember every most corners in real life. You just need to make sure the camber, elevation is the same (which is the biggest difference from game to real life).

I am going to watch the WSB at the 'ring too - will you be daring to do any laps on the evening of Friday 13th? Thats when we are!

I'll stick at it

No, staying in luxembourg, only going to the 'ring on Sunday. Apparently the racing is on a different 'ring? :smt017

The Nordschliefe is the one you are "learning" - the WSB is on the GP circuit which is inside the Nordschliefe itself.

;) I kinda new that, but thanks for the clalrification.

Also, TT says it needs 14MB to save, but PS2's only come with 8MB cards  where am I going wrong? I don't want to delete all my son's saved games  if it's still not going to work.

Get a 16mb memory card?
Or a 64mb card. Only a tenner here (http://www.bmcdigital.co.uk/catalog/browse/ps2-cards?gclid=CKOsjr-x3pMCFQcIuwod0GgNjg)

How you doing on the Busa round there?

Stu
06-06-08, 11:06 AM
Only done a couple of laps on the Busa, 9:47 I think. Last night I spent in Novice school & got through the whole set of 8? exercises is there more levels to the school? think I'll just concentrate on the 'ring. I can use a ZX6R which is as close to mine as I need

It's not inside it. The GP track is at the very bottom of Nordschleife. Nordschliefe being German for "Northern Loop". The GP track is linked to the Northern loop as well and they still race on the entire circuit, we saw some when we went over last May. very challenging to say the least!

I managed 8 minutes 9 on a TZR250R and I crashed twice. I did however play that game a lot.

Played the track at work on forza2, although the track looks to be pretty close, it doesn't prepare you for the surface changes and camber so for a rough idea its good but wouldn't rely on it to heavily.

Best thing to do is just keep going over there ;)
