Not sure if this has been asked before (if it has then please feel free to delete!) but if you could live your life all over again, is there anything you would do differently or a different career you would persue?
Discuss!!!
Hmm, nope.
If I did anything differently then it would be a certain event at college. But then I'd be living in Australia by now in all probability, and I wouldn't have the family I have now. An alternative life in Australia would be great, don't get me wrong, but I love what I have now.
So no thanks, you can keep your time machine. :)
I would have listened to my elders and tried harder at school.
Right up until my last year at University I never did any revision. My results for exams in the final year were all 80% - 90%.....previous years were around 60% - 70%
I still do alright and can look after myself comfortably but you cant help but sit back sometimes and see someone enjoying the high life, having 5 foreign holidays a year, their own 2nd/3rd home in different countries, having the choice of which ferrari/lambo to take to the office today and then sit wondering....if only I had listened and tried a little bit harder.

Not gotten meself in to the shatty debt mess I am in atm, woulda tried harder to pass my CF1 exam, not sold my last SV.
I'd change two things and that is all:
1. I'd never have started dating chris at uni which mean that me and drew wouldn't of had the trouble we have with him!!! :smt076
2. I would have got on drew's bike sooner than Jan... which means i woundn't of moved out of home without first having the money to do my bike test rather than me and drew looking every month at the bank statement and seeing if we could save a bit of money for me to do my licence (so far in the pot none) :(
Apart from that... coundn't want more.... have a great bloke that does everything he can to keep me happy.
But wouldn't change anything else :D
Why what would you change kate?
Not really i guess things happen for a reason i've had my fair share of rubbish like everyone else if i hadn't have got through it i wouldn't have met Falc and be living in the sunnier part of the country (well sometimes)
my friend has a saying which she is always bringing out when we are moaning about life. "whats for you won't pass you by"

You'll understand why I'm ****ed off today.
Believe me, there is little point in slaving over books. I wish I hadn't. But I couldn't see it at the time. I wish I'd done something skilled, learned how to fix things.

I regret not continuing with dancing and singing, I would love that to be apart of my life now. (more than my mad 5 mins dancing round the living room!)
I could say I regret a particular ex but then that wouldn't make me the person I am today and would not value everything I have with Phil as much.
But i think that is it!

I would go back and play it differently with my soul mate, maybe if I was a nicer person and treated him diff we would still be together now.
2nd biggest regret is not sending off my completed application form to Western Aust police while I was fit, but I was with soul mate and didn't want to leave him.
Don't put all you eggs in one basket!

you need to be careful what you change in your past, look at back to the future, one small change here and next thing you develop an unhealthy attraction to your mum?

But does anyone have a different career they wish they had persue! My dad was in the navy and he says if he had his life over again, he would have trained to be a pilot.

I always wanted to be a Vet.........then I got heavily into sport, trained twice a day 7 days a week, spent several months a year in europe and my education went out the window.
But at the same time I dont regret that at all, I have seen alot of the world and have alot of experiences I would never want to forget or have missed out on.

I would have liked to be a vet or doctor (wanted to help people but I love animals hence vet), but I never could do all the studying and going to uni just didnt appeal. Kinda got it wrong joining the police, so in my 30's I decide to study law, why couldnt I have applied myself years ago? Still it makes us the person we are today !!!

I'm an arrogant **** most of the time though until people get to know me lol :( :( :drink:

See my pervious post. The opportunity I had at college was to leave, and go to Australia to teach kids stuff like bush survival, quad bike riding, bungee jumping, sky diving, scuba diving... Obviously one area would of been my "speciality" but I'd of been dabbling in most of it.
That would be better than being stuck in an office. But then, I wouldn't have my life now.

I regret a few friends I had made and wish id never met them!
Would I do things differently? Nope. Why? Because in all likelihood I would not have met hubby. This week was our 14th wedding anniversary and later this year we will have been together 20 years. We have been through some quite awful times together, but hey, that's just character building ;)

I am a beliver in fate and that things happen for a reason so i could never change anything that would mean i never met Phil. Just wish I hadn't had to get over so many hurdles before meeting him!
I would def have learnt to ride earlier but hopefully i have years of riding to come!
I would not have left Antigua when i did, and dearly wish I had stayed there for the full 3 years.

Change anything? no because as previuosly said I wouldn't be the person I am now (good or bad depending who you ask!). We've all had our fair share of poop happen to us but it's all coming good for me now though. Hmmm career i've only had a couple of jobs since i left school 13yrs ago I started in retail then moved onto van/LGV driving and now training as a plumber while running a handyman/maintenance business

I wouldn't do anything different. Otherwise I may not be married to the most wonderful woman in the world. OK, it would be nice to have bought a few shares in a company called microsoft in 1978 etc.

I wouldn't change things, even the bad bits. Like most people I've had difficult times, but every event, both good and bad, has combined to make my life what it is today and I like it and the people I live it with.
I dont think I'd change anything, the bad bits and the good bits all add to a life worth living I suppose

I would help my cousin more get through his bad time, so he didnt have to take his life
And I would go and make freinds with my best mates rob and jason, and make a better start of our "band" (term used very loosly!!) Enantiomer, and maybe learn to play more than two songs as a "band"
But, everything else I am happy for.
Matt
few wee silly things from my past I wish had not happened but they maybe happened for a reason. wish I had not agreed to pay for my divorce because I felt sorry for him. wish I had not bought my flat as I would not have the problems I do now trying to sell the place.
I also wish I had worked harder at school and pursued a career. now 41 years old I have been in armed forces, office work, shop work, child care industry, education but no job for longer than 5 years, still dont know what I want to do when i grow up.
took a chance on my soulmate and things are working out well, very very well, me and my kids are happy. cant ask for much more than that, except maybe bit more money

Nope I would not change anything. My past shaped me into what I am now. Actually maybe I would have my daughter earlier if I could, but then I did not mind trying :-)
Job wise? Well possibly would like to do something more interesting than accounts/finance? Should have tried to be an ice hockey start a bit harder but than I mustn't have been good enough otherwise I would made it to NHL.
And I think I would listened to my folks a bir more. They were right with many things!
I would never have taken those free sweeties from that stranger.

I wouldn't change much TBH. I would have stayed in college and gone and done the degree, however then i wouldn't have dated an ex cradle of filth guitarist, phwwooargh:viking:
The only thing I'd change would be my sons dad, but then if I did that, I wouldn't have the lovely son i have now........
And I certainly wouldn't change Im Indoors:smt055
So no, even though the life i have ain't much, I've had some fun and a lot of struggle......but perhaps it was worth it after all:-k
