I braved avg. 38 celsius temps yesterday :sunny:...just to take these pics for the org. :takeabow:

Ok...maybe not....but I did take some pics just the same. :D

I was supposed to go on a rideout with my mates but nearly everyone dropped out so we canceled. :(
I think the high temps kept most of them home.

But ......I'm going to be traveling alot this month and didn't know when I would get the chance to ride again so I went alone.

A few pics from the Blue Ridge Parkway in Virginia.

Above the mountain tops at 4,200 ft.

Truly stunning pics:cool:

Nobody else in sight? Is it usually that deserted? Here, anywhere like that would be swarming with caravans:rolleyes:

Very nice pics. I was up and around there 2 years ago, only it was in the fall, and sadly I wasn't on a bike. It is a very stunning part of the country :)

Except during the fall when the leaves change, traffic is very light on the Virginia portion of the Parkway.
Due to the current heat wave, traffic was extra light yesterday.

Yes.......but.....
Great roads, great riding, great scenery (all close to home) but very few other riders around.

Great Shots! :)

Looks like it will be July before I make it down your way.

Try a PM again. It might work this time. Will admit I am not the best on computers.

Thanks,

Great photos! The second looks like one of the default ones windows comes with. Is the pic of the bike by the lake your entry for this months phot comp ;)?
