Wow what a great weekend.

Went to my mate Parents who live just outside Oswestry. What a great weekend of riding we had. For a start the sun shone all weekend, which is a first for me in WalesJ.

Saturdays route was up to the Ponderosa for brekkie then to Ruthin, down past Bala lake, down to Dolgellau, from there down to Abber on the A493 (great road )via Tywyn and Macyhlleth. Down to Abber on the A478 for a lunch stop in the sun by the sea front.

Out on the amazing A44 those on NW3 ans 3.5 will remember the twisty bits, well trust me in the dry hot tarmac those corners can be taken at stupid speeds with extreme lean angles JJJ left my mate on his Thunderace standing in the corners.

Up to Newtown and Welshpool on the fast roads, Put it this way If there were any police on that road, me and my mate would now be spending some time in her majesty’s prisons to contemplate our decision to go as quick as we did, 3 figure speed’s all the way home!!  Now some people will knock me for saying that, telling me its not big nor clever, but oh it was and it was so much fun!!!

I will put some pics up in the photo Section (with a link from here) once I have extracted them from my camera!! But what a days riding. By far the best day I have ever had on my bike so far!!!

How rude! Was fetching bike from dealer and probably passed you in the opposite direction while scrubbing in my new tyre, so you are forgiven - barely.

Sory mate, i did contemplate giving you a bell to join us. But i havent seen my mate for a while and we haddent ridden together for almost 2 years. He has only just got a bike again ( 2 months ago) after almost 2 years without one.

I know mate, got your text when i had downed my 6th pint, and the day after me and my mate were not in the best fram of mind for riding a bike at all. Lesson learnt we wont be doing that part again. Nxt time its just the riding that counts.

Glad you had fun. Hope no camera's saw the fun ;)

Ive never put my knee down... but I dont have sliders. I followed an R1 down the local Bypass, was fun, he was slightly faster out of the corners cos I was being a pussy (need a new Eprom to sort out fueling) and the throttle can be jerky, which isnt good at full lean. So didnt get the power on as early... maybe sport touring tyres arnt so great either?

Into and mid corner I was as fast and he had the knee down so I think If I stuck out the knee it would have been down.

:)

Sorry for the random story. Im bored at work tbh :(

Yeah i had lots of fun. Dont think there were any cameras, we saw no vans at the side of the road, and TBH time they turned the camera arround we would be out of sight the speed we were doing!! We saw no horse boxes, no one pulled us over in an unmarked car, and we saw no helicopter above head, so hopefully should have all bases covered. If not i aint going to see my licence for a very long time!!

I like your excuses for getting spanked by an IL4 mate ;)

LOL... I wasnt spanked. I was on the way to the petrol station as you do, when I left it he had been down and back up the bypass a few times... Clearly practicing. :p

Besides his is a sports bike mine is a sporty sports tourer. I need a better shocker. Ok enough of the excuses ok a couple more. I need to grow some balls and sort the lumpy initial throttle (feels like an on off switch) basically.

I was also riding silly after being to squires the other day... top tip Dont wave at 140+mph! ;) Good to blow out every so often but... not a good idea when it comes to the licence keeping. :(
