Richmond Park. A really nice place to go for a slow ride with your jacket undone to cool down.

Nice :) we like it up there too... although i think the dogs like it more than we do because of all the deer, and pull like a train to get to them as they are not allowed off lead! LOL.

LOL :D The deer suprised me, they didnt mind me or my bike when i was riding around and taking pics and stuff! I thought they would run away. I guess they are used to people and traffic now.
Photobucket reduces the quality of pics, that black and white one looks a bit better from the file on my computer
Matt
I like the park, I used to live with my parents 1/2 a mile from Ham Gate, and used to take the dog from home to Kingston Gate down to Ham Gate and back over Ham Common, cracking walk.
Chased this Stag half way around the park one day to try and get a half decent pic, still wasn't as good as I wanted, but wouldn't stand still lol

thanks thedonal :D I'm not to certain of my photo skills, but I like what I take. I got "digital photo" magazine yesterday, it seems that to be good at photography, you also have to be handy with photoshop to make your images look nice...
:)
All good fun though

Just remember to divide the frame into thirds- then put your main subject in accordingly (hope that makes sense!). The 3rs shot with the bike on the right is well framed IMO.
It's funny- I find it FAR easier to frame a picture with a screen on a digital camera than through the viewfinder.
Just keep taking pictures and you'll learn as you go. Exposure is as important as framing too- it took a while for me to realise that if you underexpose a sunset, you get more dramatic colours- I kept getting really washed out sunsets for years!
Edit- yeah photoshop is handy. I've started messing around with hue and saturation to enhance the colour of shots- but I don't really do a lot of post-production, as it were.
Some nice pics. Lots of good memories from around there.

Yea, I read about that "rule" on a website a while ago, it made good sense to me as a general rule of thumb :D
I'll try under exposing at sunset...

BTW- I wasn't inferring your sunset was washed out (hope it didn't come out like that)- you got some nice colours there!
