Off camping this sunday, doing a trackday on the monday :D (Rockingham) but not sure how i'm gonna fit the tent, sleeping bag, ground mat etc to the bike??
I've got a Oxford Tailpack which I bought last year and has sat in my car boot ever since. Not sure how it fits to the bike soooooo....
Could anybody post a pic of how they did it? :smt048
take the tent out of its bag, and put it in the tailpack, then strap the poles seperate.... or just put it on top the use the rain cover to hold it in place
(this top tip was brought to you courtasy of fizzwheel)

depending on which you have......a big velcro strap goes under the pillion seat, then just bungee it on..... the more bunggees the better (IMO) i also place a towel under the pack to protect the paint
edit....... in there i have a 3 man tent, sleepingbag and clothes for a weekend, the poles are just by the left indy

I am going to try to put my tent sideways over the grabrail and bungee it round the tail pack. It will also be resting on the panniers. Might not work though, will see you at Rockingham and find out!

Nah, it was somewhere to rest while I was riding along :)
It hooned it down with rain on the way there & it made a great rain break as well

I'm big fan of cargo nets, but not found any with plastic hooks yet. Panniers make it so much easier to balance the load.

Get yourself some extra straps. Place the tent at the back of the tail pack, sort of resting on the grab rail then run a strap round the grab rail and tent, then one round and under the tial pak and tent. The roll mat on top or on the side using the same theory and another couple of straps.
I have a little rack that i put on the back of Doris which solves this issue, or i use panniers with the tent on the seat!
