:(

After just 7 months I have deemed it necessary to say goodbye to the SV. My reasons are fair I think and I just want to offer this thread in memory of my beloved first 'big bike'. She allowed me to be her passenger for 1447 miles of 'ooo's, ahhhh's and yikes!' so I feel it only fitting that I give her a proper send off. Didn't give her a name, couldn't bring myself to do it, she knows I loved her though.

Bye SV, you'll be missed.

You dont. What you want is 100mm pistons so you get 1056 engine!

I got a blue and white GSXR K6 750 which I think looks great but that white paintwork on the 600 K8 is something else, it really suits the bike. Nice!

I can't remember, is the white paintwork on the K8s a pearl white? I can't remember if I'm just remembering the Ducati 848 in white, as that is a pearl, not flat white, and looks very nice 8)

Congrats on the bike, there is an influx of K8s here now...just waiting for someone to buy something other than a white 600!

If I was to get myself a sportsbike, it would be the White K8, absolutely stunning bike. Havent seen one on the road yet but spent plenty of time drooling over them in the showrooms and bike shows.

7 months and only 1400 miles!!!! The bike was barely run in. I do that milage every 11 days.

Nice looking bike by the way much more individual than the blue and white. Enjoy it and try and put a few more miles on this one. LOL

I dont mind 4 pots tbh (dont tell anyone!) Id be happy with a V4... but there arnt any that I like being made. Maybe the new Aprilia but I wont be able to afford that. :(

I just think IL4's are too common and sound pretty dull, (unless they are screaming of the rev limiter, then they are ok) :( Change the firing order so it sounds like a V4 and I would have one. I still have to research if thats possible. :p

Not be individual for long. Looks like half of sv650.org are getting one.

You really do need to get out and use it more though to make the investment viable... Unless you just happened to have a few grand hanging about.

Have you considered living closer to where you need to be? ;)

And stop having a dig at someone in particular ;)

Not having a dig at you mate just to be clear each to their own. I'd have loved an RSV but the insurance would have been outragous. I'm building up slowly. I'll have a V-Twin again someday im sure. Love your Falco don't see any like yours around so can see why your so proud of it. And theres only 220 white GSXR600's in the uk im told so it'll be abit less common than the usual blue and white colour scheme.

Ha ha. I dont mind. I dont take anything people put on here to heart, its pretty easy going on the forums in my opinion.

I say V-twins are the best because they are my personal fav and I kind of been saying it for so long now... I might as well keep saying it.

Happy you like my Falco! I do its comfortable enough, fast enough, and handles very well for the road. Perhapse not as good as a SS600 for a track weapon but then its getting on a bit now :( Oh and it looks pretty good as well. :)

Only 220 White ones. That is rare... But with its popularity (its the best looking gixxer ive ever seen as standard, except maybe the exhaust) I wouldnt be supprised if it made it back.

I can remeber a White Suzuki racing (a good few years ago now) but I can remember thinking white wheels looked damn good. And looking at your bike I was very right.

That is a nice looking bike. Why can't they make more sporty twins! I keep looking at the GSX, R6 even tghe CBR (not that the wife would let me buy one but hey!) but then I go out on the SV and site next to one of the above at the lights and think... NO I need the twin sound...

But still jealous!

I guess the 220 white 600s is just this year? If so...just putting it in perspective...each manufacturer sells about 2,000 SS600s a year (that's excluding the 750 for Suzuki in case there was any confusion). So it'll be rare...but not hen's teeth rare...if you see what I mean. Nice to not have one on every corner, though!

It'll be nice while it lasts, i've not seen too many k8's on the road so far though. But the reason its so popular is because its a great bike. Can't fault people for wanting the best they can!

Same here, I think I have seen one black 600/750, and that was parked up, but I see plenty of K6/K7s. The 750s sold fast from the dealers, though, so I don't know what's going on there!

Haven't seen ANY white 600s on the road yet :D

Aye, abit pitiful I know but I was deliberatly keeping it down so that a.) I didn't wipe it 'round a lampost and b.) dealer would be more inclined to sort me out a decent trade in price..

Just come back from a 100miler' around the valleys and have to say it's an absolute dream to ride. Planted to the floor, gives you loads of confidence and absolutely screams when you give it a squirt...

..plus.. I was parked up in Cardiff briefly and this absolutely mint blonde lass walked past whilst i was standing next to it and said "Mmmmm nice bike mate".

Every reason signed sealed and delivered right there.

Why wait ??

I'm 26, been riding less than a year so no claims bonus on any bike. My premium came in at a little over £500. Quite manageable that....
