Just got in, one local petrol station i passed is now empty and another has people queing down the street waiting to get in!! Unbelievable so much for gordon brown telling people not to panic buy!
Also just heard on the radio that spanish truckers have parked up on a motorway switched there engines off handbrakes on and walked away from there lorries and said they they arnt moving until the government has done something about fuel prices, apparently the police have informed them that a government representative will be down to speak to them first thing in the morning.. They sure kick ass on the continent good on them.

Shell tanker drivers are going on strike for four days starting on friday if they dont get the pay rise they want! Looks imminent apparently but if everyone buys what they usualy do there wont be a problem but that aint guna happen is it... You watch the pumps tomorrow.

No lol if there was no petrol then **** the country would STOP. I dont think the government will let that happen... although this government might thinking about it. They are just one MASSIVE accident. :(

Best way to deal with it is to bring the public transport system grinding to a halt.
Simply say 'Bugger em!'
Park the bike up and do public transport for a week, if everyone did this then the government would
1- loose a shed load of duty (over 50% of the cost of petrol not to mention diesel)
2- in London especialy, it will destroy the public transport infrastructure, an additional million+ people leaving all thier vehicles at home for a week would be great.
pity it's all pie in the sky thought tho

I'm going to get a full tank tonight for sure. The oil 'crisis' is a farce. The only crisis is that that we're so dependant, and the oil companies are so greedy.

They reckon £2.30 / litre next year.
Anyone noticed it's only the people who profit from higher prices (such as the oil company executives) who warn us about the 'demand' and rising prices. Does this not consitute an offence - price fixing/fraud? I'd imagine they're above the law anyway.

Alexei Miller, the chief executive of Russia'a Gazprom, the supplier of a quater of Europes natural gas.
I'd probably try googling for an email address, or get Baph and Soulkiss on the job ;)

Well I've done it before, but then no cars could get through the gap to the pump in front, so I just slipped through.

Definitely yes.
And if you can fill up while the car in front is still at the pump but paying, & then move your bike before you pay, then you haven't inconvenienced anyone.

Nicked a pump last night. (In garage, anyone want it. Also two traffic cones and a traffic light). Must stop drinking that witches brew.
Serious I knew one guy woke up and found a traffic light. Got nicked by plod returning it.

There are HUGE queues at a few of the petrol stations in Cardiff. Well, at least the ones I rode past. In the first there was about 20 cars waiting, not including the 8 already at the pump and then the second was causing about 200 metres of traffic 'cause no one could get past the people waiting to get in!

Be glad you don't own a diesel car with a 55 litre tank. £1.33 / litre is normal around here :(

Fuel shortages hitting around here too (Portugal), our main airport (Lisbon) is already diverting flights to Porto for refueling. Time to go get the popcorn, I guess.
