View Full Version : I'm heading to Scotland
Hello
Thought I would share with you that I'm off to Scotland next week Tuesday with a few guys from work.... Spending 3 days there so I am so looking forward to those great roads... Staying in a b and b this time..... Went to Wales last week camping, near the Horse shoe pass, that was great apart from riding with a hang over ............... dont do it !
Any way when I get back I am hoping to place some nice pictures on here, so if you are up there next week and you see a gold sv that will be me :) :flower:
Maybe there will be some single biker men there ha ha

I'll keep my eyes peeled! Never seen a gold SV before so you'll be easy to spot.
Don't forget to post in the Lonely Hearts sub-section of Ecosse before you go...

Scotland is great for riding. Fewer cameras and much less traffic than down south. I particularly like the east coast side of the scottish borders. Some real "car advert" type roads down there. :)
where abouts in scotland you going sandy?
Hi
Well we are staying at TYNDRUM, CRIANLARICK. Then heading to Fort William, and around the roads of the Loch ness..... Hope its nice weather:rendeer:

cool tyndrum is one of my local haunts. bring waterproofs as its a bit wet at the moment. Lots of undercover police vehicles in that area including fireblade and blackbirds. Hope you have a good time. avon skin so soft (green bottle) dry oil to keep midges away especially by Loch Ness.
Thanks
For that advise I will get some today,,, I shall be wearing my leathers with water proofs I think... So looking forward to it cheers

Right, this is the best advice I'll ever give anyone... Going from Tyndrum to Fort William, don't go via ballachulish bridge, instead take the right hander at glencoe village signposted "Kinlochleven". In my opinion, this is the best road in Scotland... And it goes to the same place, the bridge was built as a bypass so it makes this road nice and quiet :smt041 It's the B863, not to be missed. Fast, it's challenging and curvy. Slower, it's swoopy and smooth. Slower still it's just got fantastic views. But it's brilliant no matter how you do it. Don't miss the chance!

Oh you'll love it.... come down from Crianlarich to Inverary... the road has a beautiful sweep to it as you come round Loch Fyne, near the oyster bar. Or head up to the Bridge of Orchy. Take a camera. :D
