Hey everyone, thought whilst i was out the other night that i could pass anyone on the .org and not recognise them:smt039

thought i should start a thread so we could post pics of our bikes with or without riders (in your helmet if your shy. . . or ugly:puker:) so we can tell when we are spotted:cyclopsani:

also post here if you see someone on the road and wonder who they are, they might be one of us?

i would start the thread with a pic of me and my k4 but im in work when i thought this up so i can't put on any pics now... but i will later on.:smt024

ok, spotted someones this morning on my way to work, bout 8.55am passing the belfast met college heading into town. pale blue sv pointy (Rizla colours?) think they had a yellow helmet. . . sound familiar?

BadDog
13-06-08, 02:45 PM
That would have been me running late! :D

I'm there every morning coming off the westlink... but usually about 8.40-ish :)

fergie
13-06-08, 06:23 PM
yeah good idea i.m up for that, i only get to take my bike to work twice a week but when i pull onto the westlink about 6.25am a curvy always seems to be a couple of yards in front of me. Although it did pass me one morning and i got a wave as it passed (which i thought was pretty nice).

i'll get a pic up tomorrow

Think i spotted you again yesterday Baddog when i was in the car , carpark opposite jordanstown, this is like stalking:oops:

anyway also saw a silver half faired pointy on the road to larne

and a copper fully faired pointy shortly afterwards.

any ideas?:D

am i too far off the beaten track  being in Portrush?? i never see any SV's about :(

BadDog
16-06-08, 11:31 AM
Yep, me again at jordanstown :)

I saw a bronze pointy SV at the traffic lights just up the road when I left Jordanstown aswell.

Suzukibabe, I'm up near portrush nearly every weekend. I head up the coast from Larne, fancy meeting up with us at the weekend?

SuzukiNess

 "heads off to spec savers"

aye, it would be nice to meet up - do u head to ballycastle or portstewart then?

neillfergie
16-06-08, 12:48 PM
i was up that way on sat morning too, usually head down to carnlough and up the costal route to ballycastle or portrush depending on how much time/fuel ive got.

Must have seen 10sv's on Saturday morning! roads were rammed with bikes.

fergie
16-06-08, 02:56 PM
i was up that way saturday morning only saw a cbr and bmw though, first time up that way on the bike after about 15 years going up in the car- quite a different experience - was just thinking i'm no further than half an hour away from the coast and always head inland for some reason, strange that. well i live in belfast and i can actually see the lough from the end of my street but its not proper coast line if you know what i mean- i'm gonna stop talking now i'm confusing even myself

neillfergie
16-06-08, 04:11 PM
its much better heading up towards the port, have done it in reverse and your very aware of the small wall between you and the sea going round the right handers sometimes, few buttock clenchers! lol

i always head down to carlough, its only a 30min ride from my house and its got some lovely sweepers to builds the heat in the tyres and gets your confidence up before the tougher coast road. sometimes head south to larne but usually north along the costal route.

BadDog
16-06-08, 04:46 PM
I usually have a long-stop in Glenarm carpark then head on through carnlough and up to Waterfoot and beyond :D

fergie
16-06-08, 07:54 PM
i went through carrick to larne, through to glenarm and on to waterfoot then up the back road to ballymena then back home- thought it was going to rain. to be honest it was the longest ride i've had since i got the bike which i'm a bit embarrassed about. but all in all it was a good morning out

neillfergie
17-06-08, 08:34 AM
some fantastic roads up that way mate and plenty of places to pull over for a quick stretch if your getting stiff. think ive spent more time on those roads on the bike than any others. pity the weather is a bit rubbish this week though.

Hey there badboy, seems everyone from the larne area is bad for some reason?:spiderman: might be something do do with michael jackson?:smt017

ill keep an eye out for you on my travels, should be easy to spot with those trainers:smt081 . . . should really get some proper boots mate, they are as important as a helmet if you come off.

NO - you cant be serious!!! Mate get urself a pair of decent boots, even if it does cost you the extra ££. Riding about like that will mash your ankles if you have an 'off'

:crutches:

you only get one set of feet and they get you about for the rest of your life.

Have fun
