I always go with EBC HH pads, its a personal preference. Don't believe the rubbish you hear that they eat discs' this isn't true and most cases of sever disc wear is down to poor discs to begin with. Yes they wear the discs a little quicker, but think of it like this, that means more friction and the whole process of the brakes is based on friction!
OEM pads are good, they ain't naff like some OEM pads on other bikes used to be. Some people on hear like the EBC organic's too and I believe there is a Carbone Lorraine following also.
Do you have braided lines?

Rotate the caliper slightly as you pull it off the disc, to push the pads apart. Or just use a large flat bladed screwdriver to push the pads apart and retreat the piston, once the caliper is off.
Either way, never forget to pump the brakes up tight before riding, so the piston is in the right position!
