As title really, just wondering, is it a 'hole'?

On a scale of 1-10 how 'nice' is it?

1 would be council estate with drugies, chavs and daylight muggins.

5 is a respectable area, but you would want to keep your doors locked and 'toys' out of sight, but not expect to get broken into.

10 is leave your doors unlocked, if you left your Ducati out the front with the keys I the ignition it wouldn't get touched ... in fact a passer by would knock on your door and let you know you had left your keys in it and tell you how nice and shiny it looked ...

ah ... a 5 doesn't sound too good ... looking at the areal maps, it seems fairly modern ... I was hoping it was gonna be semi-affluent and therefore (as built up areas go) perhaps a 7? ... :smt085 oh well, I'll look elsewhere then!! :D

Depends which part of chineham.

if you live in lychpit then that's the rougher area, although nowhere around chineham and Old Basing (where I live) is really that rough at all.

I'd go with 6 at worst, and 10 in certain areas. Worst place is outside the Chineham arms and tesco express where all the chavvies hang out at night.

If you're ever down this way give me a shout and we'll have a cruise. :)

I see, it is very district specific ... if it is that localised, I was specifically talking north Chineham around Thornhill way etc.

basically, anywhere around Chineham is not going to be terrible. Have you thought about old basing at all?

itsmore expensive but an arguablymuch nicer area.

The basic provisional remit is the higher up the A33 (but below M4) the better ... obviously without the luxury of a £1.5million budget to get a truly sweet place Chineham came on the map!!!! ;)
