Just wanted to give the Org a pre warning that later on I may be a mixture of tears, sadness and drunken stupor.
My big bro who I love with all my heart started working in Amsterdam about 2 months ago. He has been coming back on a regular basis to see his wife and my neice.
However, as of next week, they are both moving out there permanently with him. They are probably going to be there for at least 2 years. I know that it is a great move for them, but I am starting to feel very down about missing out on so much of my neice's life as she grows up.
Its made worse by the fact that they live nearby and so we often just pop in for tea etc. Won't be able to do that no more. Just feel like a big part of my life is going.
Anyway.......spilled my guts. I have a BBQ to go to at my folks which will have us all together for the last time.:(

Dude, both of you should get Xbox 360's or something; i missed my twin bro loads being away at uni that I got one, and now every friday evening we jump online and have a good ol' gaming session. Stops me feeling so apart
big manly hug extended in your direction
Matt
sending you big hugs Drew
its hard being away from family but its only 2 years. my cousin is moving to texas tomorrow and her parents are gutted. im moving down south next month and will miss my mum and dad so much. unfortunately my dad is not well and wont be able to travel down to see me. hopefully mum can get respite care for him and visit occassionally. but with email and web cams the world seems a smaller place.

Cheers guys. I is rather drunk......alchohol and family is not a good mix!!!!
I twas alright had a really nice BBQ right up until the moment in which my Bro's taxi arrived at my folks to take him to the airport.
My mum started bawling, I started bawling, that got Lily crying. Not a good look at all. My bro started laughing and crying at the same time.......but I think the laughter was a ruse to show he was being strong. Then as he left had my mum in tears in my arm. Took Lily to console us both.
Not been nice, but like you have all said it aint that far. Got tickets for September booked. Now I have the agony of watching my neice go aswell in 2 weeks!!!!!! Not good. But cheers again guys. It helps. Even just a few nice words. :D
