View Full Version : screw in back tyre argghhhh
went for a ride yesterday and went out this morning too on the sv. came back and noticed a small screw in the back tyre actually in the tread not inbetween them, pulled it out and it went down, what are my options, ideally id like to have it plugged as the tyre is only a month old (i know typical isnt it!)
but want it to be plugged from the inside as im not a fan of tyre plugging at the best of times.
anybody out there use any good tyre plugging products?
cheers mark.:(

If its an Avon tyre it will be covered by there warranty, if not go to a tyre fitter and ask for a quote (take the wheel out of the bike if you can).

Unless you set yourself up with a 'trade pack'* ... it seems your best bet for a mushroom repair is just to take it to the local tyre place.
As long as it is done properly, a mushroom repair is nothing to worry about!! 8)
*If someone know where you can buy say half a dozen mushrooms and associated vulcanising glue for a fair price, then I'd be interested too! 8)
Said it before, ill say it again... ultra seal!
Had a small nail in my brand new front tyre recently. They repaired it at george whites, cost me about £18.
Good as new!!!
