Still early stages but trying to get round to the issue of getting something done with my now damaged SV. I have the following 3 options
1:Sell it as salvage
2:Break it
3:Rebuild it

Either way, I wont be riding the SV again, gonna move on and get something else.

Now I dont know if anyone would be interested in the salvage option, I myself have to consider the rebuild but the breaking option is why im putting this here now. I dont want to break the bike, sell a few parts which usually always are in demand and find myself with half a bike which is difficult to get rid of. I will need the funds of this "project" to fund the replacement bike.

The bike as it was before the accident

The damage is as follows:
Broken forks & bent lower yoke
Bent front disc (x1)
Bent front caliper (x1)
Radiator
Front mudguard
Front fairing & screen
Heavily dented tank (rider side)
Bellypan

Everything else is up for grabs in excellent condition.
AFtermarket Extras which would be up for grabs as well as the original parts would include
Scorpion hi-level can
Braided lines
R&G crash bungs (Totally unmarked yes I know)
Renthal sprockets & Gold Tsubaki chain (only seen 1k use)
Ermax Hugger
Single seat cowl & infills
Rad grille covers
Gel seat
K&N Filter
HH Brake pads (Front) seen less than 1k use
Tyres have about 2.5k wear on them

Rebuild it, surely thats the option thats gonig to see you get the most cash back as you'll have an asset you can sell.

If the front end is toast, fit with with a GSXR front end and then sell it on ?

Damage doesnt look that bad, and if the frame etc is straight it doesnt seem to much to put it back on the road. I defo wouldnt break it like you say you'll be left with a load of bits you cant get rid of.

I'll take the braided lines & bungs. :D

No, serious, as fizz said, Gixxer front end it, then sell it on. Might loose a little on the price as you'll have to declare it was written off, but still.

Its no insurance write off as it was never covered by the insurance (TPFT). Will be getting frame checked next week as to whether it is straight

I dont really know about salvage value as she stands. I was gonna get an offer from a salvage company to see where they were pitching it. Would rather sell to someone who wants it to fix up.

no damage at all to rear or side of bike. Only damage to tank through my groin and only damage to rad from the front fork. Everything else is as it was prior to the accident INCLUDING the R&G crash bungs which dont even have a scuff on them
