Wish I'd known there were bike nights in Soton before I came home for summer! I'll have to come along to one when I have a day off work. If you're looking for a bike night though there are always loads of bikes at Loomies cafe on Sunday nights.

its run by a guy from HG. apparently pays for it out of his own pocket, and all the proceeds go to charity

theres a website, i'll see if i can find the link

I'll make an effort to get to next week's one provided my SV is restricted by then. I will tell all my local biking friends about this though!

If it's a nice day on Thursday and I can get the day off I'll go along to this. Don't have an SV anymore but hopefully see some people off the forum there!

i went last night, bit quite but ok. good location, right outside coffee places and bars. A guy told me last night theyre gonna have live bands there some weeks as well, and they seem keen on lots of rideouts.

Did see a couple of SVs there, anyone from here?

It does exist...it's run by Rick from Hein Gericke, after the one outside his shop just got a bit big. Council are backing it, considering the acheivements of Poole Quay, not been myself this year though due to work commitments, but now it's summer I'm sure it'll get bigger and better??

Yes the Bittern pub does have a list of events that they do, they generally meet on a Monday night, but also do lots of runs and events on Sundays, I went on the Mike Bond memorial run around the New Forest with them a couple of weekends ago. That was pretty good.

This Sunday we are meeting at the Bittern about 11am, and then heading off to the Royal Oak near Bordon for a mass meet and BBQ. Should be a good laff, I'll be there on the raspberry!

providing its not chucking it down i will be going tonight. accodring to the BBC it should stay good today, but then again, when have they been right.

(i'll be on an old, black, ZXR with a funny american can!)

I'll definately go down there this week so long as the weather is good, as my SV is now restricted! Going to pick it up from the shop tomorrow...can't wait!

So where is it exactly?
(Bear in mind I'm someone that could not even find the Poole Quay meet without riding through a shopping arcade, though it did save me a quid)

At the Bargate - the 'big' castle at the end of the precinct.

I was there tonight...was pretty good, a healthy amount of bikes there too. One of the guys from on here came along too on a curvy SV, forgot his name though:oops:. Nice variaty of bikes, everything from crusiers, sportsbikes, tourers, even an old Royal Enfield.

Saw a few friends there by coincidence aswell, so that was very interesting.

I'll definately be there next week if the weather was like it was today!:D

Sottondan per chance??? I met him at the Bittern Pub on Monday night bike meet - with his mate on the Ducati Monster....

I plan to be out at one of these Thursday night events in the near future, but at the moment I work evenings.

Anyone know what's happened to this meet? I went these last two weeks and nothing was there! The only sign of biker life forms was outside Hein Gerike...

its moved back to outside hein gericke, apparently there were too many complaints about people making a nuisance and so the council have stopped it.
