Just thought i'd ask, being as we have so many IT bods on here

My job is going to be outsourced to them in a few months, i'll be speaking to their HR in a couple of weeks but wanted to see if anyone on here has worked for them in the past or currently works for them or has been supported by them....

I'm a hardware engineer (for IBM) so go to their site in Birmingham quite often, however only really deal with their operations team. They seem to be fairly clued up and have lots of lovely proceedures in place, which could be considered as organised?!

Sorry, I know that's no help at all...

A close friend is working for them. He seems happy with them, never heard him complaining.

Word on the street is that they are a good company to work for, they don't pay top salaries but offer you a good benefits package and career progression within the company is strongly supported.

Nick - I work for IBM as well :) Catch you on sametime I guess :)

Lots of companies seem to be outsouring their IT services at the moment. The client I work for has just done a deal with TCS (subsidary of TATA, India) to outsource part of their IT services, keeping the skills in the UK.....for the moment (IMO).

They supply us our global helpdesk and desktop support. They are cr@p. Our end users hate them. first time fix rate is well below expectation. time to fix is hours when we want minutes. and they dump calls onto anyone just to get them off their stack. (thick, stupid script monkeys who cannot even speak English)

I had heard that the helpdesk side of it was based outside of the uk, I guess that confirms it.. Thanks
