I also used to stay at former 500GP racer Paul Lewis' home in Maidenhead when I was working down this end of the country and living up north - he's a close friend. Stirling Moss is also one of the nicest blokes I have ever met.

Showbiz celebs - a few, nicest of the lot being Dido, at a party. I didn't even recognise her and chatted her up for an hour before my mate told me who she was. I also knew Kim Wilde rather well before she got famous. Once upon a time I bought Geri Halliwell some chips too. As far as a/holes go, Bruce Foxton, formerly of The Jam, is top of my list.

Royalty - a couple (I had the Queen look me up and down as she rode past on a horse). I got chatting to a rather lovely posh burd once at a car showroom I was visiting, and she turned out to be Zara Phllips - what a thoroughly charming young lady she is.
