Right,
I've got a 01 curvey, on monday I gave it a real deep clean ready for it's mot on tues. All levels topped, new tyres, carged battery etc...
It had been stood for about a month but started in reasonable time on monday afternoon.
On tues it fired up straight away, no problems. Got to the mot and it sailed through.
So I've waited for my insurance docs to arrive (thurs/today) and am about to go and get tax.
Key in all dash lights nice and bright, pull in clutch, hit starter button, and nothing, no noise no turning nothing. Can't find any chaffing/loose connections, fuses are sound.
Does anyone have any ideas?

+1 ther could be your clutch switch.or on the other hand the starter could be f**ked.give the clutch switch a try tho.

I've gone through all of the switches and they all seem fine. The starter itself was showing no signs of giving up the ghost prior to my problems and there is no 'click' which indicates something else.
Anyway I've traced it back to the starter relay, unfortunately I can't get my hands on one until monday afternoon. Hopefully that'll solve the fault.
I'll post the results on monday evening.
Thanks for your help so far everyone.
