In addition to the 5 stitches I had to have in my and last Sunday night, and a load of political nonsense at work, I popped round to my Nans house today to say hello and start the SV up that I keep in her garage.

"Oh" she says, I have knocked both your bikes over - sorry.

Thats The SV and the BMW. Turns out the BMW (which is an F650 and unknockover-able on the centre stand) supported the SV and the beemer didn't actually fall -

Luckily its not too bad - snapped off the left side mirror (as you are riding the bike), put a v.small crease in the petrol tank, and scratched the rear fairing by the pillion seat - I had removed the pillion seat to put the optimiser on, and it slipped between the BMW and the SV and protected most of the bike - so now I also need a new pillion seat. --- Anyone got any spares????

After picking up the bike and the usual "nobody died, it's just a bike - things can be repaired or replaced etc" she then offered me a cake - which I bit into and then realised she had used Nutella as the icing - I am badly allergic to nuts (like dying bad) - so had to quickly spit it out and wash mouth out.

Looks like it hasn't been my week. Off to drown my sorrows with some friends..... hopefully next week will be better:(

Absolutely - At the end of the day I'm a lot better of than most of the people in Zimbabwe so can't really complain.

The Nutella cakes are very popular with all members of the family (bar me) - Easy way to ice a cake I believe

be careful, sounds like she's trying to off you...

make sure the "accidental" fall wasn't an excuse to hide the fact that she's cut your brake lines...

Now that's an achievement - How long did you manage to milk sympathy for that one?

There seems to be a bit of a theme - my Mum drove into my Fiat Barchetta (limited edition - one of only 500 in world - about 10 in UK) and did £3k worth of damage 3 years ago. All parts had to be ordered from Italy and it took 4 months to fix. Had a Vauxhall Meriva for the whole summer instead of a 2 seater.

I missed the best part of summer, so rents got me a new mountain bike out of it:p, I was quite a good swimmer before, eversince I swim like a cat, i.e not very well.
