View Full Version : NON sv related bike exhaust for sale....ask your friends
I have been sent the wrong exhaust for my cbr600rr.
So I now have for sale a 2007/2008 cbr600rr carbon yoshimura RS-5 exhaust.
Its brand new, still wrapped and boxed and I only want ?330 but pickup only.
Pickup would b e from junction 27 of the M1 or I could meet halfway providing its not to far.

might help if you told folks what it'd fit and where you are, just a thought :smt102
Cheers Mark.
And why not send it back? USA?
edited  such a plum lol :(

Its a UK seller, but the exhaust is from the states so will cost me loads of time and effort to send back.
It would be loads easier if I could just sell it here to someone wanting one without the hassle and wait, and then order another one avoiding all the hassle and cost of sending back.

OT, but I tried an RR5 over the weekend and was quite impressed by it's flexible 2nd gear, had quite a lot of pull and it stretched all the way to 113 mph on the private road I tested it on.
Back on topic, can you not wangle a discount on your next exhaust from the seller - explain the situation and why you're going to sell it on here. It sounds like his fault?
They have admitted fault and said if I send it back via their curiour they will send another one out when they recieve it and refund the money into my paypal....but all thats time consuming and muchos hassle. If I could sell it quickly here for minimal loss it would be problem solved.

Maybe they will discount your new one by the amount it would cost to send back this one? Are you intending to go with the same seller?

They will refund me the cost of sending back this one, but it the times its taken already, the time it will take to send it back and the time it will take to recieve another one that I'm currently trying to avoid :(
As for the RR5/RR6 having plenty of midrange  it defo does. They improved it a fair bit from the RR3/RR4, the RR7/RR8 is supposed to be improved low end as well so it pull from low to high.
2nd and 3rd are awsome though, although I keep sliding the rear out of corner which I have now established is due to me being used to full throttling it out of corners on the sv :shaking: turns out you cant do that on the rr.
I have alot to learn, still not used to it after 1000 miles :(
If you've got a £330 exhaust here in the UK that's only available (at that price) in the US and you escaped customs charges??? That would be a good selling point IMO that would be worth putting on ebay?

UK RRP is ?450 :( If I could sell it quickly I would be happy, but sticking it on ebay could take a while and its not a gauranteed price

I meant something slightly different actually. Basically say to them "OK, you'll refund me the £50 it will cost me to post back to you. How about, I sell the exhaust on here, and I buy a second exhaust from you with a discount of £50 - you make a little bit extra as although you lose out on £50 either way, you sell a 2nd exhaust, thus higher turnover. I also get my exhaust quicker."
In actual fact I'd probably ask for £75 or £100 discount since this way they sell 2 exhausts!

+1
And at a #120 saving on UK RRP it's worth the risk of it not selling for a while - just order the correct one now.
