Goes on the underside of the swingarm and stops your toes/foot going between chain and sprocket in the event of an off

Urgh, I'd never even considered a foot + sprocket interface.

I think it's in some of the racing rules for certain tracks but can't remeber which #-o

Its now compulsary under ACU rules and regs. Not just track specific.

i was attacking a corner on the supermoto yesterday, foot out and scraping the floor, caught a broken part of the road surface and it kicked my foot back into the swingarm. i'm very thankful that most SM bikes have this sort of guard already fitted, if you did get your foot caught you'd be looking at splitting it in two:eek:
