In Holland it's now illegal to smoke tobacco. That's right!.....You can have a spliff but if it has any tobacco in...you're nicked :smt017

You couldn't make this stuff up! (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/netherlands/2226749/Dutch-tobacco-ban-means-cafe-smokers-can-only-light-up-pure-cannabis-cigarettes.html)

So levels of people getting cancer will remain the same (carcinogens will still be produced upon burning cannabis) but levels of people getting schizophrenia may rise

If you can't keep it 'real', perhaps you shouldn't be smoking anyway ;)

No and nope.

Cannabis has been observed to help prevent cancer, it was always the tobacco in a joint that attributed to the carciogenic effect.
&
Still no reliable schizophrenic research has been made

It's all BBguardian readers nonsense

:smt094 This really bugs me, the assumption that using soft drugs leads to harder drugs is just rubbish.

I have been a heroin addict for ten years and I have never used harder drugs, mind you I have robbed my Granny six times to pay for my smack! :smt023

Maybe mescaline? Depends on how you define 'hard' really

You have to realise that when people try illegal drugs and discover how safe they can be and even what little effects they can have, it then destroys any trust in the 'warnings' you've been given about all drugs.
If the government's telling you weed is a terrible drug that'll drag your life in to the gutter and on experience it's a sedate pleasant experience that you can take or leave when you want; why would you believe that any other drug wasn't over-hyped by the government?

How many 'users' warn you that alcohol is the b*stard drug? You may be sick of hearing it but it's a result of people trying drugs and being dumbfounded that this violent, mindbending drink is rated as safe when so many pleasant, calming "drugs" are banned. It may get wearing but it's shouted from the roof tops for a very good reason.

The truth is what is needed; an educated, impartial ruling on what drugs represent. Currently we couldn't be further away from that.

I always come across as some kind of user here. I promise you it's not the case! I just think we should be free to make our own decisions, and I'm sick of the fallacies spouted out by both the Goverment, ill-educated and mostly the conservative wimps incapable of engaging the 'think' gear provided most kindly to us in our noggins ;)

You are right about the things government say. But imo Alcohol is as bad as the rest. I dont really drink, by some peoples reconing... I maybe have 3 pints max on occations.

Its pretty obvious that most drugs are bad. So imo you have to be a fool to go down the smack head route.

I would Meth anthamtine is a real nasty one to take and it seems to be on the increase as well, why people put this into themselves I will never know.

The Great Bill Hicks once said :

"No, I don't do drugs anymore, either. But I'll tell you something about drugs. I used to do drugs, but I'll tell you something honestly about drugs, honestly, and I know it's not a very popular idea, you don't hear it very often anymore, but it is the truth: I had a great time doing drugs. Sorry. Never murdered anyone, never robbed anyone, never raped anyone, never beat anyone, never lost a job, a car, a house, a wife or kids, laughed my ass off, and went about my day."

Holland actually has the lowest rate of heroin addiction, and the oldest mean age of addicts, so you could argue that hash prevents people using harder drugs.

I know Sarcasm is the lowest form of humour, so you were right on both counts...

I am actually a drug free, smoke free, alcohol free, lesbian, vegetarian feminist. Which means my evenings are just roaring along with amusement and fun...

Ah look it is time to shove that gerbil up......
