Common SV650 owner mods include belly pan and full fairing lowers.
Yea, ok... Obviously haven't talked to any SV owners.
1999: Original ‘jellymould’-styled half-faired Suzuki SV650S launched.
I kind of like that description though.

Er... don't understand your point, you complaining at the English that it should be Bellypan OR lowers - seems quite common to me :smt102 although probably better to state that more recently a lot more have been sold with lowers as standard.

+1 what's wrong with 123? you can't do that? or you believe your overreading speedo? (for the record I think 135 is achievable but not guaranteed)

My point is that far far more common mods to SVs are exhausts & tail tidy's to name just two. Then I'd still place mini-indicators above belly pans & lowers.
There's only a handful of people that have a belly pan on this forum, and only a handful that have actually added lowers after the bike rolled out of the dealership doors.

Ah, totally agreed
The thing is, we seem to be discussing

but I bet there is something different in MCN 2 July 2008 (http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.php?p=1556708#post1556708)
;)

Are they not common mods for all bikes? Belly pan or lowers is more specific to the SV :p

Getting up to 123mph is more likely than 135mph!

I have speed tested many bikes, from standard to tuned, trust me I know the real top speed of an SV650. This is why I enjoy all the BS on the 'whats the fastest you've gone' type threads!
I get 120mph on my naked (indicated) often - mainly on empty dual carriageways on the flat, in a straight line; it's enough. I have a belly pan, exhaust but not mini-indicators (two are functional, the other a tweak IMHO).
I thought the MCN review was pretty balanced.
