Ermax hugger

I'm after an Ermax hugger and there is one on ebay but it doesn't say for what year. Have they changed? Will a hugger made for previous models fit my K8 (naked)?

the undertrays have definitely changed from curvy to pointy and again from 2005 onwards (the battery position changed in 2005 so the previous pointy huggers won't fit) so its worth finding out which year the hugger is made for.

I didn't want to win it as I wasn't sure so it went for nearly double my maximum I had set. What does it do exactly? Keeping the bike clean(er) and therefore less chance of it getting rusty etc? My previous bikes all had proper old-fashioned mudguards.
