I think my beloved sv650sport has finally met it's maker. Was riding home from work on the A1, slowed down at an amber light coming to a stop just as it changed to red. Only to get rear ended by a Porsche cayenne, the big 4x4 thing. The bike suffered a badly damaged rear end, possibly written off. And I've got a badly bruised bum!!
Any tips regarding insurance etc would be appreciated. I'm fully comp and need a new bike sharpish as I work shifts and sometimes can't rely on public transport.
Have a few photos I'd like to share (of the bike, not my bum!) but am useless with computers so again could do with some pointers.

Sorry to hear about this. Get onto your insurance, see if you can get a hire car, this should be paid for by the other guys insurance so you should be OK.
That's me assuming you have a car license tho, if not hire bike LOL.
Insurance should be offering you stuff like that anyway !
Hope your bum isn't too sore, I will come rub it better if that'll help .... medical purposes only off course ;)

As it wasn't your fault you should get replacement transport very quickly - as the costs will be recovered from the porsche driver's insurers. At least that is what I believe to be true

Thanks for the best wishes everyone. I tried, and failed, again at getting photos up. Will keep you posted about the bike or it's replacement.
And Shelly, I'd love to take you up on your kind offer but unfortunately I'm now without transport...unless you can provide somekind of travelling nursey service...with a uniform of some kind!
