View Full Version : My SV with Mods...
Introducing Billy T (the bike) - picked him up Thursday night as a non-runner (Cheers Dirty Dog & Falc the original donor). All the bits turned up in the post on Friday and Bernies breakers in Aldershot had the rest.
With a bit of bodging we managed to get it together on Friday... had such a blast at Rockingham on Saturday. My little brothers first trackday...

Sadly no track shots. I crashed it before the camera man arrived later in the day... We had to finish the day on the Tuono - which we thought just wasnt as much fun....

What kind of can is it
The can is a no name buy off ebay.
Heres the link (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=150262519545&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=005)
The guy also does some great baffles if anyone needed an insert (i.e. Brands). Without this its about 112 db without the insert at higher than avg revs.
nice gigger you got there .. :smt025

I've got that can too :) . Baffle in mine has little effect, it's still really loud! Certainly wouldn't pass an MOT.

Yeah
You'll be pleased to know the mudguard didnt get a scratch on it... so you can still have that bit back if you want. Just broke the LH rearset. Runs lovely too.

Great arent they - got a pic?
Did you get the new fan dangle baffle too - looks like a plunger with some steel wool in it? I thought it was really effective actually. Anyway no need for MOTs (Cat B frame) and I think its all discretionary anyways these days.

It's not much use to me anymore as i've got my SRAD front end finished now except a mudguard
I like it when the post man comes. New seat arrived today. I need to make a new rear suframe to fit it but it sits quite well now. Put some padding on it, lights, paint etc... you get the picture of where we are going i think... naked cafe race ish curvy.

Could you not get a race subframe that will fit a bit better?

Possibly - but I just want to get the lines sorted so it will probably be just as easy to make one up to get it right.
