This is a shameless plug for the SV Ecosse Glencoe Massacre, a big scottish rideout on the weekend of the 16th of August- there's lots of details in the thread and more stuff being added as I have it but all you really need to know is that it's another excuse to ride a motorbike and get ****ed  Should be a great weekend, we've really got a good package of roads that'll be suitable for all riders, and the campsite's lovely (we actually have showers and running water!)

Yep, it's quite far. But then Yeovil was quite far from Edinburgh ;) And there's various options available for those coming from further away. If you've got any questions not covered in the thread feel free to post in there or PM me and we'll see what we can do. We've already got a good turnout but the more the merrier!

Hope to see more of you there!

I'm not sure Jax will let me go for another rideout and she hasn't been on one herself, plus its a lot of fuel I probably can't spare at the moment.

Theres a large group of folk from all over the uk already and would be great to catch up with people from last years AR as I was unable to make it this year, so get your name down!

This is what god invented sports touring tyres for :D I'm going to something more touring orientated for this trip, Mind you I am getting about 3K out of a rear Diablo Corsa III so it might be doable on one tyre.

I'm going and I am really looking forward to it, its going to be ace.

If you can live with the steep profiles on Pirellis, try Stradas - I get 8000+ Miles out of a rear on my ZX6R. I have never lacked for grip - except when I ran wide onto some grass ;)

I was going to go for Metzler Z6's, near as damn it the same as the Strada. I had them on my SV and really like them
